Welcome to HSCHaven. By accessing or using our website at hschaven.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. About HSCHaven

HSCHaven is an online study platform for NSW Year 12 HSC students. We provide AI-powered essay marking, structured study notes, and syllabus resources to help students prepare for their HSC examinations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use HSCHaven. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts

You can create a free account using your email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Please notify us at support@hschaven.com.au if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Payments and Subject Unlocks

Some subjects on HSCHaven require a one-time payment of A$7.99 to unlock full access. By making a purchase:

• You authorise HSCHaven to charge your payment method via Stripe for the stated amount.
• All purchases are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
• Subject unlocks are tied to your account and are non-transferable.
• Business Studies is provided free of charge and does not require a purchase.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital content, all purchases are generally non-refundable once access to the subject content has been granted. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing content you have paid for, please contact us at support@hschaven.com.au and we will work to resolve it.

6. AI-Generated Content

HSCHaven uses artificial intelligence to provide essay feedback and marking estimates. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated feedback is for educational guidance purposes only and does not constitute an official NESA assessment.
• Band estimates are indicative and may not reflect your final HSC result.
• HSCHaven does not guarantee any particular academic outcome as a result of using the platform.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use HSCHaven for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
• Share your account credentials with others or resell access to the platform.
• Submit content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes the rights of any third party.
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce any platform content without our prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on HSCHaven — including study notes, syllabus structures, design, and software — is owned by or licensed to HSCHaven. You may use the platform for your personal study only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without express written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

HSCHaven uses third-party services including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and data storage), and Anthropic (AI). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

HSCHaven is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HSCHaven and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data or academic outcomes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of HSCHaven after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
